Attn: Joe Spiers Stage 1 Special 20 fans The Joe Spiers stage 1 Special 20's shipment should be here in about a month. Joe is very busy working on harmonicas. He continues to find ways of improving his quality. These harps are worth the wait. The Joe Spiers Stage I Special 20 offers high-end reedwork in a practical package.
The reed plates are set up for traditional players who like the response to feel springy and airtight, but yet not stuffy. All the bends are easy to control including the upper register. The most useful overblow for blues players is the 6 OB, which is verified to work properly. These are strobe-tuned to the stock Hohner compromise for smooth chords. The sound is powerful and focused, rich but not obnoxious.
The stock comb has had the sharp edges smoothed for comfortable contact with the lips and hands. The cover plates are opened up in back for projection.
All Spiers harmonicas come with a 1-year warranty. Joe would like all warranty issues to be handled through him direct.
